President
The President leads the CUASL Executive and is expected to work closely with the Coordinator, Registrar, and Treasurer/Accountant. This role is highly important and applicants should expect to be highly involved with the league. This person will ideally have at least 1 year of experience competing in the CUASL League.
This role requires a minimum commitment of 3-4 hours per week.
Tasks required of the President are:
- Manage the executive team
- Organize summer conference and conference calls
- Management of non-profit requirements with support from coordinator
- Organize voting and motions across the league
- Hand out awards at nationals
- Support coordinator with organization of meets
- Support with work aligning CUASL & CAS
- Assist Chief Judge PTSO & NSO communications
- Coordinate rule changes and renewals
- Troubleshooting
Requirements for this Position:
- Minimum 1 Year of experience competing in the CUASL League
- Be an eligible, registered member of the league (swimmer or coach) for the entire 2022-2023 season
- Be a full-time student at his/her University
- French preffered

Vice President of Marketing & Sponsorship
The Vice President of Marketing & Sponsorship is responsible for the branding and engagement of the league. This person is also responsible for looking for additional funding opportunities for the league, and will work closely with competition meet managers, league photographers, and the President. This person will ideally have at least 1 year of experience competing in the CUASL League.
This position requires a commitment of 2-3 hours per week.
Tasks required of the Vice President of Marketing & Sponsorship are:
- Management of all social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter)
- Responsible for updating and maintaining website
- Work with photographer at competitions to get obtain packages of photos that we can post
- Apply for grants on behalf of the league
- Seek out sponsorship and Fundraising opportunities for the league
Requirements for this Position:
- Minimum 1 Year of experience competing in the CUASL League
- Be an eligible, registered member of the league (swimmer or coach) for the entire 2022-2023 season
- Be a full-time student at his/her University

Secretary
The secretary is responsible for all administrative aspects of this league.This person will work closely with the President. This person must be fully bilingual (French & English). This person will ideally have at least 1 year of experience competing in the CUASL League.
This position requires a commitment of 1-2 hours per week.
Tasks required of the Secretary are:
- Send league meeting agendas before the meetings
- Coordinate meeting times
- Take minutes during all exec and league meetings
- Send minutes in both French and English to clubs after meetings
- Send out other communications to clubs and members as designated by president and coordinator
Requirements for this Position:
- Bilingual (French/English)
- Min 1 Year of experience competing in the CUASL League
- Be an eligible, registered member of the league (swimmer or coach) for the entire 2022-2023 season
- Be a full-time student at his/her University

Appeals Committee Member (3 open positions)
Members of the appeals committee will be required to review Bye Requests and Appeals to the rules received more than 72 hours before relevant competitions. The appeals committee members will be led by the Vice President and will be required to return to the applicant with an answer or request for more information within 72 hours. The jury will also review all issues regarding definition of Novice Swimmers as a part of the registration process, and requests for exceptions to swimmer eligibility in the league (for Novice and Experienced).
Bye Requests are more common as we near Easterns and Westerns, and Appeal Requests are less common. This is a lower involvement but very important position.
The commitment for this role is for a 1 year term.
Requirements to be in this Position:
- At least 1 year of experience competing (as a swimmer or coach) prior to application
- AT LEAST 1 member of the committee must come from Western Provinces
- AT LEAST 1 member of the committee must come from Eastern Provinces
- Be an eligible, registered member of the league (swimmer or coach) for the entire 2022-2023 season
- Be a full-time student at his/her University
